K-pop idol Jeongyeon of Korean girl group TWICE will not be able to perform in the group’s upcoming world tour stop at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
On Thursday, Oct. 2, her agency JYP Entertainment announced that the singer would sit out the concert, saying the decision was made with her health and recovery as the top priority.
“It is with deep regret that we inform you that TWICE member Jeongyeon will be unable to participate in the TWICE world tour in Bulacan concert due to health reasons,” the agency said in a statement.
“We sincerely apologize to all the fans who have been waiting for this concert and are truly sorry to deliver such disappointing news,” it added.
JYP also expressed gratitude for the group’s supporters and asked for understanding.
The Bulacan concert is set for Saturday, Oct. 4, with eight members—Jihyo, Nayeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu—performing.
TWICE will also release their special 10th anniversary album, “TEN: The Story Goes On,” on Oct. 10.
