“The Summer I Turned Pretty” will conclude with a feature film written and directed by author Jenny Han.
On Wednesday, Sept. 17, Prime Video announced the news during the series’ finale red carpet celebration in Paris, France.

“‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ has struck a chord with audiences everywhere, creating moments of joy, nostalgia, and connection that have made it a global sensation,” the streaming platform said in a statement.
Han said the story’s final chapter called for a big-screen treatment.
“There is another big milestone left in Belly’s journey, and I thought only a movie could give it its proper due,” she said.
Based on Han’s best-selling book trilogy, the series has become one of Prime Video’s most successful titles. Season Three drew 25 million global viewers in its first week, ranking as the platform’s fifth most-watched returning season.
The series is co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and wiip, with Han serving as co-showrunner alongside Sarah Kucserka.
