EEI Corp, one of the country’s top construction companies, said Monday it bagged two new construction projects, pushing its total order book to P39.24 billion for the first eight months of 2025.
The company said it secured P19.1 billion worth of new projects in the third quarter alone, a strong rebound from its performance a year ago.
The new contracts include the construction of a subsection of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) and Megaworld Corp.’s Arcovia Hotel in Pasig City.
The CALAX Subsection 1 project was awarded by MPCALA Holdings Inc and is valued at P2.7 billion, covering the construction of a roadway, drainage systems and related structures.
EEI was tapped by Megaworld to construct the Arcovia Hotel in Pasig. The scope of work includes civil, structural and architectural finishing, along with painting and waterproofing.
“These new project wins mark a significant turnaround for EEI, reflecting our resilience, competitiveness in the industry, and renewed growth momentum,” Anna Payawal-Figuera, EEI senior vice president and head of commercial and operations, said in a disclosure to the stock exchange.
EEI said it remains optimistic about its growth trajectory, supported by a healthy project pipeline and strong demand for infrastructure nationwide, the company said.
EEI reported last month plans to expand into real estate development, capitalizing on its 139-hectare land bank in key locations.
