LTO digital license tracker gets positive feedback

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) is encouraging vehicle owners to report issues encountered while using its new digital platform, LTOTracker, which allows online tracking and delivery of license plates.

LTO chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II said that while the system underwent extensive testing and a pilot run before its launch, minor glitches remain possible. He noted that since its rollout in July, the platform has received around a 95 percent satisfaction rating.

“We are expecting some glitches as part of the technology’s birth pangs,” Mendoza said, adding that the agency values user feedback to quickly resolve concerns. He said efforts will focus on addressing issues raised by the remaining five percent of users.

The LTO recently received a complaint about non-delivery of plates despite full payment through a courier. Mendoza ordered the courier involved to explain and directed all accredited delivery partners to further improve their systems, especially customer support.
