The much-awaited grand coronation of Miss Grand Philippines 2025 is set at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City this Sunday. Miss Grand Philippines 2024 Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza will crown her successor at the end of the event, where three other major titles are also at stake: Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2026, Face of Beauty Philippines 2025, and Miss Asia Pacific International Philippines 2025.
The 29 candidates competed during the Charity Gala Night & Preliminary Competition in swimsuit, evening gown, and creative cultural costume, hosted by Universal Woman Philippines 2025 Jasmine Omay, held at Okada Manila, Parañaque City, last Sunday.
A three-cornered fight looms among Miss Grand Pampanga Emma Mary Tiglao, Miss Grand Zambales Anita Rose Gomez, and Miss Grand Bicolandia Margarette Briton, who emerged as top contenders after snaring the special awards handed out during the preliminary show.
Tiglao, a 30-year-old Tourism graduate and co-host of Net25’s Kada Umaga morning talk show, is a veteran in local and international pageants, having previously placed as 4th Princess in Miss World Philippines 2015 and winning Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019. She competed and placed in the Top 20 at Miss Intercontinental 2019 in Egypt. Tiglao bagged the Miss Mestiza, Miss Nutrixpert, Miss Regroe, Miss MWell Health & Wellness Ambassador, Miss Casino Plus, and Miss Photogenic special awards.
Gomez, a 23-year-old Customs Administration graduate, competed in Miss Philippines Earth 2021, topping the Beach Wear Challenge, and in Miss Universe Philippines 2024 where she placed in the Top 10. Gomez took home the Miss Megan Beauty, Miss MWell Choice Award, and Miss Proshot special awards.
Briton, a 25-year-old Education graduate, was Miss Lla Bealla Universe 2023 and worked as a tourism specialist at the Tabaco City Tourism Office. Briton bagged the Miss Hairfix and Miss Brace Yourself special awards.
Other potential crown-getters are Miss Grand Taguig City Michelle Arceo, Miss Grand Aklan Beatriz Mclleand, Miss Grand Quezon City Nikki Buenafe, Miss Grand Bulacan Shannon Tampon, Miss Grand Davao Angeleyh Pasco, Miss Grand Fil-Com Canada Jasmine Garner, and Miss Grand Rizal Province Beatriz Angela Ocampo.
Meanwhile, the Creative Cultural Costume competition named its Top 6: Angelica Joy Flores (Pangasinan), Nikki Buenafe (Quezon City), Michelle Arceo (Taguig City), Alyssa Geronimo (Nueva Ecija), Anita Rose Gomez (Zambales), and Emma Mary Tiglao (Pampanga).
The Miss Grand Philippines 2025 coronation night will feature three international titlists: Miss Grand International 2024 CJ Opiaza, Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 Deanna Marie Mate, and Face of Beauty International 2024 Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano, along with Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 3rd runner-up Blessa Ericha Figueroa.
