Carlo and Ivy Logroño turn Laguna hideaway into sanctuary for shared memories

Chadivan Hideaway, Victoria, Laguna’s secluded gem, blends modern luxury with untouched serenity, offering a private escape where the world fades into quiet elegance. Owned by the husband-and-wife team of Carlo and Ivy Logroño, this exclusive hideaway combines modern comfort with natural splendor, offering guests an unforgettable experience of relaxation and adventure.
Chadivan Hideaway was born from the couple’s travels, particularly those stays in countryside Airbnbs where each place had its own charm, unique designs, warm service, and a deep connection to local culture. They wanted to create a space that brought families and groups together, where guests could make joyful memories just as they once had.
What sets this personal paradise apart is its thoughtful design, showcasing open spaces, high ceilings, abundant natural light, and fresh air. The property is enveloped in lush greenery, reflecting the belief that thoughtful landscaping breathes life and warmth into a space. Beyond its physical charm, the hideaway is distinguished by the genuine care and consistency in hospitality extended to every guest. It’s the small, sincere touches—the attention to detail—that leave a lasting impression.

“Carlo and I are both civil engineers by profession, with overseas experience in project management and cost engineering. This background helped us plan and carry out the major aspects of building Chadivan Hideaway, applying what we’ve learned over the years,” shares Ivy.
Chadivan Hideaway’s journey began with ambition, then reality intervened. Construction plans launched in 2019 stalled when the pandemic hit. By 2021, progress was still slow: quarantines disrupted labor, supply chains faltered, and remote management from Hong Kong added complexity.
Retired yet relentless, Ivy’s father oversaw on-site progress. Materials were sourced online, leveraging cost engineering expertise to secure reliable suppliers. Staff training demanded patience, instilling not just skills but the retreat’s ethos of warmth and care.
Through delays and distance, the vision endured: a sanctuary where tranquility feels intentional, and every detail speaks of sincerity.

“We feel deeply connected to our roots in Victoria, Laguna, the duck-raising capital of the Philippines. As a small gesture of welcome, we offer salted eggs, a nod to our community’s heritage. For longer stays, guests are treated to local delights like kesong puti, espasol, and kinulob na itik. During fruit season, our garden becomes part of the experience—fresh mangoes, rambutan, and caimito are lovingly shared, and sometimes guests enjoy the simple joy of picking their own. We also offer vegetables from our garden whenever they’re available.
One of our favorite traditions is arranging taho for guests—a nostalgic treat that brings back the sweet simplicity of childhood mornings. Through these gestures, we not only celebrate local culture but also embrace sustainability by sourcing fresh, nearby ingredients and sharing the bounty of our land with those who stay,” Ivy adds on what to expect during the stay.
The couple has one purpose: to bring people together. Chadivan Hideaway is where families gather over meals, friends reconnect, and teams strengthen bonds. More than a retreat, it’s a place where moments turn into lasting memories—where laughter lingers and stories begin. Every detail is designed to foster warmth, so guests leave not just refreshed but truly closer.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply need a break from the ordinary, Ivy and Carlo invite you to unwind, explore, and create memories that last a lifetime.
