The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is further inspired to fulfill its mandate of protecting the nation, its sovereignty, and its people following the public’s strong show of support in the latest OCTA Research survey, AFP Chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. said Tuesday.
The survey gave the AFP an 81 percent trust rating and an 82 percent performance satisfaction rating.
“This strong public support strengthens our resolve to serve with even greater commitment to protect our nation, uphold our sovereignty, and safeguard our people,” Brawner said in a statement.
Aside from this, Brawner said the AFP extends its deepest gratitude to the Filipino people for their “unwavering trust and confidence.”
“We also express our sincere appreciation to our Commander-in-Chief, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., and to our Defense Secretary, Hon. Gilbert ‘Gibo’ Teodoro Jr., for their steadfast leadership and guidance, which continue to steer the AFP toward greater excellence in service.”
Likewise, Brawner said the AFP leadership commends all Filipino soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines for their professionalism, dedication, and sacrifice.
“These results are a testament to your tireless service, discipline, and devotion to duty in the name of the Filipino people,” he added.
