Maya bullish on credit card business

Maya, a leading digital bank and fintech ecosystem, expressed optimism about its credit card business because cardholders penetration rates in the country remains low compared to other countries in the region.

The company on Wednesday night unveiled the Maya Black Credit Card and Maya Black Preferred, marking a bold step forward in its strategy to unify consumer and enterprise experiences through one integrated platform.

The launch brings together the full breadth of Maya’s digital infrastructure—from banking and payments to lending and rewards—delivering a seamless, data-driven credit experience for customers while creating shared value for merchants.

“We’re not just launching a credit card—we’re activating the full power of Maya’s ecosystem,” said Shailesh Baidwan, Maya Group president and Maya Bank co-founder.

“With innovations like the Maya Black Preferred partner program, we will not only expand access to credit but also create even greater value for consumers and businesses alike,” he said.
