“The Comelec is ready, 100 percent, as well as those who will serve as Electoral Boards,” he said in a telephone interview on Friday.

The poll body official added that a total of 400 registered voters from eight barangays from four cities and municipalities of Lanao del Sur and Tawi-Tawi, will be participating in Saturday’s activities.

The mock polls in Lanao del Sur will involve voters of Barangays Sagonsongan and Dulay in Marawi City; and Barangays Bayabao Poblacion and Dilimbayan in Butig.

As for Tawi-Tawi, the event will be held in Barangays Tubig-Boh and Ungus-Ungus in Bongao; and Barangays Tubig Indangan and Bagid in Simunul.

At the same time, the Comelec added that the canvassing of votes, to be led by the Regional Board of Canvassers (RBOC), will be held at the Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Election Director at the Bangsamoro Government Center Compound in Cotabato City.

Laudiangco explained that the mock polls will provide them the opportunity to test the entire voting, counting, transmission, and canvassing process that will be used in the Oct. 13 polls.

“We are reviewing all voting processes to ensure better conduct of the BPE on Oct. 13, 2025,” he said.

The poll body official noted that the one-day event would also allow them to test the voting time and motion, management of the Voters Assistance Desks, finding names in the voters’ lists, transmission, and automated counting machine troubleshooting, among others.
