Canceled flights due to ‘Crising’ affect over 8K travelers

A total of 8,695 air travelers were affected following the cancellation of 12 domestic flights across various airports in the country on Saturday due to bad weather conditions caused by Severe Tropical Storm “Crising.”

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) reported a total of 108 disrupted domestic flights since Thursday, July 17, as Crising continues to affect weather conditions across several regions nationwide.

On Saturday, multiple commercial flights were canceled to ensure the safety of passengers and flight crews.

Cebu Pacific suspended two flights in Manila to and from Laoag, while its sister airline CebGo canceled four flights to and from Naga. Also canceled were six Philippine Airlines flights to and from Basco, Batanes.

CAAP advises all affected travelers to directly coordinate with their respective airlines for the latest flight status and assistance regarding rebooking or refund options.

CAAP information officer Bea Bernardo said the agency remains in close coordination with airline operators and airport authorities to monitor developments and ensure the safety and convenience of air travelers.

“Further updates will be issued as necessary,” Bernardo said.
