Saying he does not want to pretend that all is well, Senator Ronald Dela Rosa said he will skip the fourth State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 28.
“I don’t want to ‘plastic’ and pretend. Should I attend it but be frowning? That would not be good. Why should I go there with a fake smile when I’m upset with them?” Dela Rosa said.

“For what? I don’t want to pretend in front of lawmakers I’m upset with. Not all of them, but I am upset with some from Congress and Malacañang. Why should I pretend to be okay with them?” he added.
Dela Rosa also said he has no more expectations from the Marcos administration.
