Former Vice President-now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo attributed the victories of senators Paolo Aquino III and Francis Pangilinan in the recent elections to focus on their respective platforms, coupled with a pragmatic and flexible approach.
At the same time, Robredo underscored the importance of giving more room for criticisms and dissention being upheld by the two senators.
According to her, the strategies followed by Aguino and Pangilinan allowed them to garner significant mass support, particularly from local officials.
Although some critics viewed her backing for Aquino and Pangilinan as controversial, Robredo maintained it was crucial to their victories, especially since pre-election surveys indicated they were underdogs in the senatorial derby.
