The private operator of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) joined Philippine Airlines (PAL) in celebrating the launch of the latter’s first direct flight from Manila to Da Nang, Vietnam.

“We at NAIA are proud to support this milestone and collaborate with our flag carrier to enhance regional connections. Congratulations to PAL for making this happen—we are proud to be part of it!” it added.

The inaugural Flight PR 585 departed NAIA Terminal 1 at 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Da Nang is becoming increasingly popular as a prime holiday destination due to its diverse tourism offerings, thriving food and café scene, cultural experiences, scenic views, and easy access to UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Currently, PAL operates a total of 24 weekly nonstop flights to Vietnam, including Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), and Hanoi, with three weekly flights connecting Cebu directly to Ho Chi Minh City.

For the Da Nang flights, PAL is utilizing Airbus A321 jetliners, which can accommodate up to 199 passengers and offer both Business Class and Economy Class service options.
