PBBM launches veteran’s clinic

The clinic, located at the Fernando Air Base, is the pilot site of the VALOR health network program, which seeks to serve over 93 percent of veterans currently beyond the reach of existing healthcare systems.

The President said the facility is the first phase of a broader plan, with additional clinics to be put up at Fort Bonifacio General Hospital in Taguig City, the North Luzon Command in Tarlac, and the Southern Luzon Command in Lucena City.

According to the Chief Executive, these VALOR clinics will provide vital services such as immunizations, health screenings, early diagnostics, lab tests including X-ray, CT scan, and MRI through local providers, as well as telemedicine consultations.

The second and third phases of the program are scheduled to roll out between 2026 and 2028.

Marcos clarified that not only veterans, but also active-duty soldiers will benefit from the VALOR facilities, and plans are underway to extend primary healthcare services to civil defense personnel as well.

He ordered the Department of National Defense and the Department of Budget and Management to ensure the program receives adequate funding for full implementation.

“Your service is irreplaceable. I hope the government can show that you have someone to lean on in times of need. The government is also here to continue to take care of your health and focus on your welfare”, the President said.
