Filipina racing driver Bianca Bustamante was moved after attending the red carpet premiere of Netflix’s film F1 last weekend in London, describing the moment as a surreal milestone in her career.
“I can’t believe I was there, right there, in the same room, existing, living,” Bustamante wrote on Instagram after reportedly meeting stars Brad Pitt, Lewis Hamilton and Ed Sheeran at Leicester Square’s gala screening.
The 20-year-old, a development driver for Cupra Kiro and GB3 rookie, wore an eye-catching red cutout gown for the event.
F1, produced by Apple Original Films and co-created with the ten Formula 1 teams.
Listed in Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 earlier this year, Bustamante is emerging as a rising star in motorsport.
She shared hopes that the film will inspire young fans, “I can’t wait for the next generation to watch this and say, ‘I want to be an F1 driver,’ the same way I did.”
