DAR renews farm-to-jail partnership in Quezon

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has renewed a partnership between the Grupong Magsasaka ng San Nicolas General Luna Inc. (GMSNGI) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Gumaca, Quezon.

The initiative is under the government’s Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (PAHP) program.

DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Ma. Gemma Esguerra said the agreement ensures a stable market for the farmers’ produce while addressing the nutritional needs of persons deprived of liberty.

She emphasized its role in supporting local livelihoods and building a sustainable value chain.

DAR-Quezon II reaffirmed its commitment to empowering agrarian reform beneficiary organizations through meaningful partnerships that promote food security, rural development, and national progress.
