Former vice president Leni Robredo appears assured of a landslide victory as mayor in her hometown, Naga City, based on the partial and unofficial count of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
With 97.24 percent of election returns processed, Robredo received 81,550 votes against her nearest rival, Toots de Quiros, at 6,164.

Louie Ortega and Ganda Abrazado fell behind at 853 and 725 votes, respectively. If declared as the winner, Robredo would be the first female mayor in Naga’s history.
Meanwhile, Robredo’s running mate, Gabby Bordado, received 45,315 votes with a smaller lead against Tato Mendoza at 40,282.
