A worker installs floating vetiver pontoons at the Don Carlos River to help mitigate pollution, totally eliminate coliform bacteria, do away with mercury and lead toxicity, and control the spread of disease-carrying mosquitoes. Project proponents said the dried vetiver pontoons can also serve as livestock feed and handicraft raw material.
