The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Friday warned the public against unscrupulous individuals offering their “middleman” services to facilitate requests from the agency’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).
“We once again remind our citizens to avoid contact with fixers or middlemen who claim to help facilitate the passage of requirements in any agency program, especially those who approach our Crisis Intervention Units (CIU) Satellite Offices,” Social Welfare Assistant Secretary and spokesperson Irene Dumlao said in Filipino.
To make the AICS program more accessible, the DSWD updated its CIU Satellite Offices in Metro Manila for clients in need of medical, burial, or financial assistance. These satellite offices are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday to Friday.
Clients in crisis residing in the cities of Manila, San Juan, Makati, Mandaluyong, and Quezon City can submit their requirements for the AICS program to the agency’s Legarda Satellite Office located at Jaime Dela Rosa St., corner Dalupan St., Sampaloc, Manila.
The Baclaran Satellite Office, located on the 2nd Floor of the Victory Mall Food Market, Redemptorist Road in Muntinlupa, will be serving the needs of clients residing in the cities of Pasay, Las Piñas, Parañaque, and Muntinlupa.
Residents in the cities of Pasig, Taguig, Marikina, and the Municipality of Pateros may likewise submit their requirements at the Pasig Satellite Office on the 2nd Floor of Lianas Supermarket, Caruncho Avenue, Brgy. Palatiw, Pasig.
Meanwhile, those residing in the Northern Manila District or CAMANAVA area (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela) may submit their requirements at the CAMANAVA Satellite Office located at the 3rd Floor of the 999 Shopping Mall, Gen. Luna St., Brgy. 16 Poblacion, Caloocan.
