Two members of the Philippine Marine Corps in Maguindanao del Norte have been conferred “Wounded Personnel Medal.”
The medals were pinned on SSgt. Aurelio Manalo Jr. and Cpl. Mark Jay Gloria, both of the Marine Battalion Landing Team2, by 6 th Infantry Division commander Maj. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete.

Manalo and Gloria sustained injuries during an encounter with lawless elements in the waters of Bongo Island, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte last Oct. 18.
The two Marines also received cash assistance, fruit baskets, and groceries as additional incentives.
