On the other hand, adult Filipinos identifying themselves as pro-Duterte were at 15 percent or one percent lower from the previous survey. The one-percentage-point drop from the previous quarter and seems to continue a downward trajectory throughout 2024.

“Although this decline falls within the margin of error, a continuing downward trend has been evident since the first quarter of the TNM (Tugon ng Masa) survey,” OCTA said.

“On the other hand, 26 percent of adult Filipinos consider themselves independent or individuals who do not identify themselves as pro-Marcos, pro-Duterte, or the opposition, a five percent decrease from the previous TNM survey conducted in the second quarter of 2024,” OCTA said.

The latest survey likewise showed that only seven percent of adult Filipinos support the opposition, a slight increase from five percent in the previous quarter.

The survey also showed that 26 percent of respondents identified as politically independent, marking a five-percentage-point decline from the second quarter.

The remaining 14 percent of adult Filipino respondents are ambivalent about their political preferences.
