Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has shared her thoughts on the benefits and challenges that come with being a public figure.
In a social media post, Wurtzbach revealed that luxury brand Prada asked her to pick a card from Miranda July’s “Talk the Talk” card game, which features various conversation starters. The card she chose asked, “What seems easy for others but is hard for you?” In response, Wurtzbach chose to reflect on the bright and dark sides of fame.
“Being a public figure comes with benefits and challenges. I’m grateful for the opportunities and appreciate the support from my audience, but navigating public scrutiny can be tough,” Wurtzbach wrote in her caption.
She went on to explain how even a simple comment can lead to judgment and heated debates. Wurtzbach admitted that balancing her authenticity with public expectations has been overwhelming at times.
“A quick look at my comment section reveals the extent of that. Ultimately, staying true to yourself is what matters,” she added.
