The Philippine Navy has installed Commander Jose Emmanuel Binalla as the new commander of BRP Valentin Diaz.
Littoral Combat Force Commander Commodore Vincent Sibala presided over the change of command ceremony, during which he awarded Binalla the Command-at-Sea Badge and Plaque.

This is a coveted award among commanding officers of navy ships, recognizing Binalla’s dedication as a commanding officer of various Philippine Navy vessels.
Binalla succeeds former ship chief Commander Harold Tabora.
