Vice President Sara Duterte paid a surprise visit to former vice president Leni Robredo in Naga City yesterday, according to her spokesperson, Atty. Barry Gutierrez.
He said that Robredo learned of the meeting “minutes before” Duterte was already on her way to her home.
Gutierrez said the conversation between Duterte and Robredo lasted for about an hour and was “personal and not political”.
Robredo confirmed the meeting, according to the ABS-CBN report.
“While she was in Naga City for the Penafrancia Festival, VP Sara Duterte took the opportunity to visit me at my home. The conversation we had was personal and not political,” she said.
