Detained former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo arrived in Valenzuela City Friday to attend the arraignment for the graft and corruption charges filed against her.
A number of police officers escorted Guo, who was wearing a Kevlar helmet and bulletproof vest, as she entered the Valenzuela City regional trial court (RTC), which took over the case from the Capas RTC.

The complaints stemmed from the administrative cases filed by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in connection with alleged irregularities on several infrastructure projects she authorized during her short-lived tenure as mayor of Bamban.
