UCC, one of the world’s most beloved coffee roasters, has long been recognized for its expertise in crafting exceptional coffee products.
The Japanese brand that was founded in Kobe is known globally for its quality coffee products that include roast and ground coffee, instant coffee, 3-in-1 coffee mixes, drip coffees, coffee capsules and ready to drink beverages.
Most recently, it introduced the newest member to its growing product portfolio — the UCC Roast Master.
“UCC Roast Master represents the pinnacle of our coffee-making journey, where each blend has been meticulously crafted to offer a unique and sophisticated flavor profile,” said Hubert U. Young, CEO of UCC Ueshima Coffee Philippines Inc., a joint venture of the Japan-based Ueshima Coffee Company Group.
“This collection is the result of years of dedication, a testament to our commitment to quality and innovation,” he added.
To celebrate the expansion, UCC hosted a launch event that was attended by masters in their own craft. Held at the UCC Mentore Coffee+Bar at Shangri-La Plaza Mall, the event symbolized the brand’s commitment to quality, artistry, and the perfect cup of coffee. National Artist for Literature Gemino H. Abad and renowned Filipino writer and literary critic Jose Y. Dalisay Jr. graced the launch.
“Their works have not only enriched our culture but have also inspired countless individuals to pursue their own creative endeavors,” Young said.
The UCC Roast Master product line consists of three blends of whole coffee beans and ground coffee and five drip coffee varieties skillfully crafted by UCC’s master-roasters through leading production techniques.
The whole beans and ground products include the Cafe Arabica Premium Coffee, a medium-bodied coffee that has lychee notes and a smooth mouth feel finish; Italian Roast Premium Coffee, a medium dark roast that has milk chocolate notes with a caramel finish; and Sumiyaki Premium Coffee, an extra dark roast with dark chocolate notes and spice, smoky finish.
The UCC Roast Master drip coffee varieties, meanwhile, include the Special Blend, a medium roast which has a guava fruit acidity and brown sugar after taste; Cafe Arabica, a medium dark roast that has a milder acidity than the Special Blend with brown sugar after taste; Italian Roast, a medium dark roast with milk chocolate note and caramel finish; Sumiyaki, an extra dark roast with dark cocoa notes and spice, smoky finish; and Decaf, a dark roast with a well-balanced acidity and bitter-sweet finish.
