As President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. celebrated his birthday on Friday, his sons shared a heartfelt tribute to their father.
In a video posted on the President’s social media account, presidential sons Sandro, Simon, and Vinny shared that Marcos household routines often involve sports, like gym workouts or shooting, while evenings are reserved for family dinners and movies.
Simon revealed it is their family’s shared dream of exploring space.
Meanwhile, Vinny reminisced about his father’s past, revealing that he once worked on a ship, catching fish to live off: “It was a dream of mine to live like that.”
According to his sons, Mr. Marcos never aimed for a career in politics. Instead, he was passionate about mathematics and physics, fields he might have pursued if not for his eventual political career.
The presidential children also spoke of the invaluable lessons they learned from their father, including a crucial piece of advice: to take time to think before making decisions, especially in moments of panic.
They said that despite the President’s busy schedule, he tries to reserve one day a week for the family. Furthermore, they hope their father finds more free time to remain the “awesome” parent and leader he has always been.
