Senator Nancy Binay appears to be gearing up for a mayoral bid in Makati City, as indicated by her latest social media post.
Earlier today, Binay took to Facebook and Twitter, sharing a message that read, “Ready to serve…” accompanied by the hashtag #Makati2025.
The post features a photo of her holding a heart-shaped sign with “100%” written on it, signaling her full commitment. Speculation about her candidacy has been swirling for months.
In an August interview, Binay hinted that she was “most likely” running for mayor of Makati, a shift from her previous stance where she estimated her decision at 70%, stating she was still waiting for signs.
However, a growing public clamor in August for her to run seems to have solidified her decision.
Binay’s candidacy has the full support of her family, including her father, former Vice President Jejomar Binay, who also served as Makati mayor for decades.
With her last term as a senator ending in 2025, many see her next political move as a continuation of the Binay brand of service in Makati.
