P1.2 million in calamity aid sent to Army personnel

A total of 91 Army personnel severely affected by Typhoon “Carina” received assistance worth P1.276 million.

Army Chief Lt. Gen Roy M. Galido led the activity at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on September 2, 2024.

Galido said the assistance is part of sustaining the morale and welfare its personnel.

“Our soldiers’ well-being is the core strength of our force,” the Army Chief emphasized in his command guidance. 

In July, Typhoon “Carina”, the third tropical storm to hit the country this year, caused massive flooding in Metro Manila and surrounding provinces.
