Philippine Airlines (PAL) has entered a year-long partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to promote travel between the Philippines and Singapore. The collaboration aims to highlight PAL’s premium flying experience and showcase the variety of attractions Singapore offers, targeting both first-time and repeat travelers.
The campaign features activities, including collaborations with content creators like Laureen Uy, her husband Miggy Cruz, and lifestyle blogger Camille Co. These initiatives are supported by a limited-time seat sale, offering special deals on airfare bundled with accommodation and unique experiences in Singapore.
Capt. Stanley Ng, President and COO of PAL, expressed enthusiasm about the renewed partnership.
“Philippine Airlines is excited to partner with Singapore once again. The country’s vibrant culture has been a source of inspiration for many Filipino travelers throughout our years of service. We look forward to expanding our efforts to allow more Filipinos to experience Singapore as a world-class leisure destination,” he said.
Melissa Ow, Chief Executive of STB, emphasized the importance of the Philippine market.
“The Philippines is one of Singapore’s key markets, and its recovery has been strong, thanks partly to our long-standing partnership with Philippine Airlines,” Ow stated.
“PAL has played a crucial role in reinforcing Singapore’s reputation as a vibrant lifestyle destination where ordinary moments become extraordinary. We’re eager to elevate our partnership with PAL and welcome even more Filipino visitors to Singapore soon,” the executive added.
In 2023, the Philippines ranked as Singapore’s sixth-largest source market for tourism, with nearly 700,000 Filipino visitors, marking an 84 percent recovery compared to 2019 figures. As of June 2024, close to 390,000 Filipinos have visited Singapore.
New attractions in Singapore for travelers include “Bird Paradise,” a wildlife park with over 400 bird species, the world’s largest multimedia illumination event in September 2024, “Harry Potter: Visions of Magic” interactive art experience in Q4 2024, “Minion Land” at Universal Studios Singapore in Q1 2025, and the “Disney Adventure” by Disney Cruise Line set for 2025.
