Phil. Navy concludes Indo-Pacific partnership

The Philippine Navy’s Naval Forces Southern Luzon (NFSL) reported on Monday the conclusion of the two-week US Indo-Pacific Command Pacific Partnership in the Bicol Region.

Lieutenant Kim Lopez from the NFSL Public Affairs Office told Manila Standard that Manila hosted the event that aimed at enhancing regional resilience, interoperability, and security.

It was participated by a total of 250 personnel from the Philippines and US military as well as contingents from South Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

The activities included subject matter expert exchanges, multilateral engineering and health engagements, and cooperative efforts tailored to each partner’s specific needs. The Philippine Navy provided personnel for USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) training in coordination with the 505SRG of the Philippine Air Force (PAF).

They also supplied equipment to a Sea Bees Construction Team for the ENCAP (Engineering Civic Action Program) project, which involved repairing the NAVFORSOL Child Development Center. Additionally, the Navy assisted the Legazpi City, Albay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) in setting up the training site for the USAR activities.

The Navy provided a vessel for multilateral exercises, including Passing Exercise, Photo Exercise, and Communication Exercise. Lastly, the Navy band was supplied for the HNOE (Humanitarian and Non-Combat Operations Exercise) activities.
