Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC), the property arm of the Gokongwei Group, unveiled the Bonifacio Capital District, a premier mixed-use development in Taguig City.
The project, developed in collaboration with state-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), aims to redefine urban living in Metro Manila by integrating residential, commercial, office, hotel and recreational spaces into a cohesive, sustainable community.
“Robinsons Land is dedicated to advancing nation-building by creating innovative and dynamic spaces that improve quality of life. The Bonifacio Capital District exemplifies this commitment, and we are thrilled to contribute to the growth and development of this vibrant area,” said RLC senior vice president and business unit general manager V. Aragon-GoBio.
RLC turned over P3.5 billion to BCDA as part of its minimum investment commitment to the project during the signing of the joint venture agreement.
Spanning 61,761 square meters, the Bonifacio Capital District will be meticulously designed to offer a vibrant, dynamic and eco-friendly destination. The development reflects RLC’s commitment to sustainability and the well-being of future generations.
True to RLC’s sustainability goals, the entire development will incorporate smart technology and green solutions, including energy-efficient features, passive cooling design, and advanced Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
Essential utilities such as power, internet, and communications will be placed underground to maintain the area’s aesthetic appeal and functionality.
Adjacent to the New Senate Building under construction, the Bonifacio Capital District is strategically located near major thoroughfares such as Lawton Ave., Chino Roces Extension and the South Luzon Expressway. It will also be close to key amenities like schools, hospitals and commercial centers.
The development will benefit from its proximity to the Lawton station of the Metro Manila Subway Project, a 33-kilometer underground railway enhancing connectivity from East Valenzuela to Bicutan. This will make it easier for residents, businesses and employees to navigate the city and Metro Manila.
The planned Bonifacio South Main Boulevard along the northern perimeter will improve access to other key areas in Taguig, including Bonifacio Global City, helping to alleviate traffic congestion and provide alternative routes.
RLC brings its extensive real estate expertise to the partnership with the BCDA. Since its establishment in 1980, RLC has earned a stellar reputation in residential, commercial and retail development.
Recent projects like Bridgetowne Destination Estate in Pasig and Quezon City, Sierra Valley Gardens in Cainta, Rizal and Montclair Destination Estate in Porac, Pampanga highlight its commitment to high-quality, innovative developments.
The Bonifacio Capital District will embody RLC’s“Live, Work, Play, Inspire”philosophy, creating a holistic environment where everything is within reach, ideally walking distance.
The development will feature residential units, commercial spaces, office buildings, hotels, parks and recreational facilities, seamlessly blending modern living with convenience.
Through its collaboration with the BCDA, Robinsons Land is setting a new standard for urban living. The BCDA, focused on enhancing the Armed Forces of the Philippines and developing vibrant cities, plays a crucial role in this project. Together, RLC and BCDA aim to transform Taguig City, setting a new benchmark for purposeful, sustainable urban development.
“This landmark project is part of BCDA’s initiative to foster sustainable communities while maximizing economic potential. With RLC’s partnership, we aim to create a model development around subway and railway stations within our economic zones,” said BCDA president and chief executive Joshua Bingcang.
BCDA said the project is also expected to inject billions in revenue generation which will greatly benefit the national government and the AFP modernization.
