The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Friday said a flight at Tacloban Airport was delayed over an elderly passenger’s bomb joke.
According to CAAP, it received a report of the incident involving a senior citizen aboard PR 2988 around 6:30 p.m.

The said passenger, traveling alone, reportedly told the assisting crew that her luggage contained a bomb. She was consequently not allowed to board the plane.
The passengers affected by the delayed flight have since been able to board the plane at 8:05 p.m.
Meanwhile, the elderly passenger is now under custody of the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group.
