Philippine Air Force participates in PEGASE 2024

Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Saturday participated for the first time in the French Air and Space Force’s (FASF) enhanced stopover in the country, called Projection of a Heavy Air Package in Southeast Asia (PEGASE) 2024.

The FASF is showcasing its advanced capabilities with a Static Display of its formidable Rafale fighter jets, a tanker transport aircraft, and an A400M Airbus military transport aircraft.

Beyond the impressive display, the visit will include a Joint Photo Flight and Subject Matter Expert Exchanges focusing on cargo and aircraft engineering.

These collaborative efforts will deepen cooperation and knowledge sharing between the two air forces.

PEGASE, an annual French military mission aimed at demonstrating air power projection, has traditionally traversed the Indo-Pacific region.

“The PAF is honored to welcome the FASF for the PEGASE 2024 mission, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards strategic partnership. This engagement underscores the PAF’s commitment to fostering strong defense ties in the pursuit of regional security and stability,” PAF Public Affairs Office Acting Chief Colonel Rifiel Santiago Sotto said.

PEGASE will run until 31 July.
