On July 17, the Department of Health (DOH) through its Health Emergency Management Bureau (HEMB) and Communication Office celebrated the inaugural National CPR Day. This is in the spirit of Proclamation No. 511, signed by President Marcos.

The event intends to raise awareness about CPR as a critical life saving technique in emergencies such as cardiac arrest and near drowning.

Participants, including media partners, received hands-on demonstrations of CPR using high-fidelity manikins led by DOH Assistant Secretary Albert Francis Domingo.

The goal of the event is to educate the public until every household member gains the knowledge and skills necessary for this lifesaving technique can be reached.

This initiative supports the DOH 8-Point Action Agenda, which aims to ensure the provision of high-quality, safe, and people-centered services, including access to affordable medicines, across all life stages.
