Forty-five (45) elementary pupils were given learning materials, books, and tutorial support with the help of volunteer teachers and parents.

The program aimed at inspiring love for reading and learning in children with the view of arming the learners with confidence and skills that will help them to succeed in life.

“Aside from delivering renewable energy, we believe in empowering the communities where we operate. The good thing with this program is it is truly a holistic and collaborative approach in improving literacy. Everyone helps create a reading culture in and outside the classroom.” said Jason Gavina, head of Blueleaf’s community relations and marketing department.

The program included a parent orientation, teacher training, and provision of learning materials complimenting the current curriculum.

NKS Solar One is a 250MW floating solar project in Laguna, is a joint venture of Blueleaf Energy Philippines and NKS Energy Utilities. Blueleaf Energy Philippines is a portfolio company of Macquarie Capital, operating on a stand-alone basis.
