DigiPlus Interactive Corp., a leading digital entertainment company in the Philippines, was included in the latest Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list.
The list, which ranks the largest companies in Southeast Asia based on their fiscal year 2023 revenues, placed DigiPlus in the 482nd position, with revenues totaling $490.2 million and a profit of $73.4 million. DigiPlus joined 37 other Philippine companies on the list.
“We are proud to be part of this significant milestone. In 2023, DigiPlus achieved remarkable growth, reporting a revenue of P27.3 billion, which was three times higher than the previous year,” DigiPlus president Andy Tsui said.
The company also saw its net income rise to P4.1 billion, three times higher than the previous year’s. The growth was supported by strong performance in its digital retail segment and the launch of new platforms.
Tsui said DigiPlus remained committed to sustaining its growth momentum through continued investments in innovation and technology.
These efforts aim to enhance user experience and introduce new digital offerings that resonate with Filipino consumers, he said.
He said to sustain its growth momentum, DigiPlus is expanding its portfolio with addition of new games to enhance its position in the digital entertainment market.
“We intend to sustain our growth momentum by continuing to invest in innovation and new technologies to enhance user experience and adding new digital offerings traditionally well-loved by Filipinos. By delivering innovative, fun, and accessible digital offerings, we aim to continue revolutionizing the entertainment space in the Philippines,” Tsui said
The strategic expansion aligns with Fortune’s observation that Southeast Asia is increasingly vital in the global economy, driven by evolving supply chains and rapid economic advancements.
Khoon-Fong Ang, Fortune’s chief of operations in Asia, highlighted the Southeast Asia 500 list’s significance in spotlighting the region’s economic growth and the pivotal role of companies like Digiplus in shaping its digital landscape.
