UNICEF partners with luxury beauty brand to help millions of girls worldwide

Luxury beauty brand Clé de Peau Beauté and UNICEF have wrapped up a successful first year of their partnership, impacting over 3 million girls globally. They’re on track to help even more girls by 2025 through their Skills4Girls programs.

These programs focus on teaching girls important skills in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). This is crucial because many girls miss out on education and job opportunities compared to boys.

Carla Haddad Mardini from UNICEF said, “Most jobs today need digital skills, but girls often don’t get the same chances as boys. We’re happy to see progress in closing this gap with Clé de Peau Beauté.”

UNICEF and Clé de Peau Beauté are focused on helping girls through the Skills4Girls programs

Since starting in 2019 and continuing in 2023, their goal is to reach 5.7 million girls in countries like Bangladesh, China, and Indonesia. In Bangladesh, they’re improving school programs to help more girls learn skills they’ll need for the future.

Mizuki Hashimoto from Clé de Peau Beauté visited Bangladesh and saw the impact: “Seeing how education changes girls’ lives in Bangladesh was inspiring. We’re committed to making a difference through education.”

Their efforts have already changed lives, like one girl in Bangladesh who now trains others after learning computer skills through Skills4Girls.

Clé de Peau Beauté has also donated $17.4 million to UNICEF’s Gender Equality Program. This money comes from their special campaign where a part of their product sales goes to UNICEF.

As Clé de Peau Beauté and UNICEF continue working together, they’re helping more girls get the skills they need for a better future.
