The Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. (CFBCI) distributed 1,000 packs of 5-kilogram rice to residents of Manila at Plaza Lorenzo Ruiz, Binondo on June 9, 2024 in celebration of the Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day.
The event was in collaboration with the Manila Chinatown Barangay Organization and Manila Chinatown Development Council.
The initiative is part of a broader commitment to community service and social responsibility and the club’s dedication to contributing positively to society.
Established in January 1998, CFBCI is one of the prominent non-profit organizations in the Filipino-Chinese community with a membership of more than 300 individuals coming from the law, finance, manufacturing, real estate development, travel and tourism, agriculture, chemical, hardware, construction, banking and other sectors.
It has been in the forefront of service to the Chinese community as well as the Filipino mainstream society promoting harmony between the two racial groups.
The club has been working hard to provide peaceful living conditions to the people, collaborating with various government agencies to realize the goal bringing prosperity to the national economy and paying it forward to the mainstream society.
