Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes has filed a cyber libel complaint in the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Cybercrime Division against three vloggers.
The said vloggers allegedly claimed on social media that Trillanes sold Scarborough Shoal to China back in 2012.
This follows previous cyber libel complaints filed by the former senator in the NBI against three other vloggers who made the same claim, as well as in the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office against former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque and vlogger Banat By.
“Whatever your agenda or advocacy is, it needs to be within the limits of the law only. If it is fake news or breaches cyber libel, you will definitely be held accountable,” Trillanes said in a mix of English and Filipino.
Meanwhile, the NBI is expected to subpoena the aforementioned vloggers.
