The Imus City government in Cavite and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines pay tribute to the war heroes who fought for independence and earned their first victory against the Spaniards in May 1898. The event was marked by the raising of a the Philippine colors at the National Flag Shrine and Imus Heritage Park in Barangay Alapan.
