Karl Eldrew Yulo, the younger brother of Paris-bound gymnast Carlos, snared his own gold medal in the juniors finals of the vault event in the 2024 Asian Gymnastics Union Artistic Gymnastic Championships in Uzbekistan on Sunday.
The 15-year-old Yulo tallied 14.433 points to beat Kazakhstan’s Altynkhan Temirbek (14.183), and local bet Sarvar Abulfaizov (13.766).
The elder Carlos earlier collected two golds in the senior division from the individual all-around and floor exercise.
The 23-year-old Yulo collected a score of 14.933 in the men’s finals of the floor exercise on Saturday.
Earlier, Carlos came up with a total of 84.931 points to earn his first all-around gold medal in the tournament.
Yulo was ahead of Milad Karimi as the Kazakhstan native finished with 14.600 for a silver finish in the floor exercise
Zhang Yanzhi from China took home the bronze medalist after finishing with 14.000.
John Ivan Cruz settled for fourth place after he got 13.966 points.
