P-pop girl group BINI teased a possible collaboration with members from funk rock band IV of Spades.
In a post shared on their social media accounts, the rising P-pop sensation can be seen with musicians Zild Benitez, Unique Salonga, and Blaster Silonga, who were all previously associated with IV of Spades along with drummer Badjao de Castro.
“Soft launch ang peg? Great catching up with you at #SOLSTICE2024, @zildbenitez, @uniquesalongaph, and @Bsilonga! Collab soon? Emi! Not emi?” the girl group said in the post’s caption.
The unexpected post took many IV of Spades fans by surprise, instantly causing them to hope for the band’s possible comeback as they had long been waiting for news about the band after its hiatus in 2020.
Benitez, Silonga, and Salonga–who had left the band two years before it announced its indefinite hiatus–together with de Castro had all been focused on their solo careers. The last time they were seen together was during the rehearsals for Eraserheads’ reunion concert in 2022, when the concert director Paolo Valenciano posted a selfie with all four members of the band.
While BINI continues its rise to fame, the girl group has yet to release a single in collaboration with fellow OPM artists. However, many have already been expressing their desire to collaborate with the 8-member group such as P-pop boy band SB19.
