Gerald Anderson showed his support for the upcoming film that pairs his girlfriend Julia Barretto with her former boyfriend Joshua Garcia.
In an interview clip released by Cinema One, the actor expressed that he is excited for JoshLia fans to watch such a “quality” movie from the two.
“It’s exciting—it’s exciting para sa mga fans,” said Gerald.
The actor also shared that he had been in a situation where he was also paired with a former on-screen partner and that would make a lot of fans happy.
“I’m not sure ilang years ago sila huling nagkasama but I’ve been in that situation. Alam ko na marami silang mapapasaya na mga fans nila. Theyre both great actors so alam natin na magiging quality ‘yung ipapalabas nilang proyekto,” he added.
Julia and Joshua last worked together for a movie in 2020 with the zombie film, “Block Z”. A year later, they appeared in the music video of Moira dela Torre’s “Paubaya”, serving as the closure of their two-year relationship.
Almost five years after their split, former couple Julia and Joshua are back on screen together for “Un/Happy for You”, which will be helmed by Petersen Vargas under Star Cinema and VIVA Films.
The reunion movie is slated to be released later this year.
