Two power generators in Mariveles, Bataan have identified safety at the workplace as a paramount concern.
GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) and GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) on Thursday launched what they described “safety culture revolution” in work areas.
“We are making the safety of our workers a top priority”, said GNPD plant manager Anton Besaris.
“We cannot manage our business if we cannot ensure the safety of our workers”, he stressed.
“We are still young in terms of commercial operation, but we must be mature when it comes to work safety,” he said.
“Whether they are our personnel or workers of our contractors, we want everyone to be safe”, he added.
Media men from Bataan and Zambales had a plant tour Thursday on GNPD and GMEC facilities to familiarize them how the power plants operate.
The twin power plants located in Mariveles, Bataan are major power producers supporting Luzon and Visayas grid.
