Inclusive approach to beauty and self-care

Royal Aesthetics, a thriving medical aesthetics business co-founded by Arlene Cris Damot, Mrs. Universe Philippines 2023, and her husband David Jayabalan, is witnessing a fascinating shift in their clientele: more men seeking cosmetic procedures.

While women continue to be their primary clientele, Arlene and David enthusiastically welcome this trend, seeing it as a positive step towards making self-care and aesthetic enhancement inclusive and commonplace across all genders.

Arlene shares, “We’ve noticed a growing interest from men in our services. We need to break down traditional barriers. Self-care and personal improvement should be embraced by everyone, regardless of gender.”

This approach, Arlene believes, is their key to success. Not only are they open to new trends, they also make their services inclusive. Additionally, their success goes beyond just offering high-quality procedures. Royal Aesthetics prioritizes affordability without compromising quality, making self-care a realistic option for a wider audience.

Arlene emphasizes authenticity as key: “We build connections with our clients, making them feel understood throughout their journey. Every connection matters.”

Arlene, a registered nurse and certified aesthetics professional, champions self-care. “Prioritize your physical and mental well-being,” she advises. “Take breaks, and find a support system that encourages you.”

Royal Aesthetics started in 2018 with a single Parañaque clinic offering basic treatments like facials and nails. They’ve since expanded to six branches, with plans for “lunchtime” procedures requiring minimal downtime.

Their dedication to excellence was recently recognized with two Galderma Aesthetics Diamond Awards: the Blue Diamond Excellence Award and the Breakthrough Award.

Initially focusing on basic services, Royal Aesthetics, under Arlene’s guidance, recognized the demand for more advanced treatments.

“People craved more options,” says Arlene. “My background allowed us to offer those solutions.”

Their personalized approach and commitment to quality led to a surge in popularity, particularly for non-surgical procedures like threads, Botox, and fillers.

Today, Royal Aesthetics boasts six strategically located branches across the Philippines, mostly in shopping malls for client convenience.

“We want to be where our clients are,” explains David, who manages the business side.

Royal Aesthetics is planning a dedicated surgical center, further expanding their services to cater to diverse aesthetic goals.
