More adult Filipinos support President Marcos and his administration than the Duterte family and their political allies, results of a survey conducted by the OCTA Research group showed Monday.
The Tugon ng Masa survey showed 31% of adult Filipinos back the current administration, while 20% still support the Duterte family and their allies.
The poll was conducted nationwide from March 11 to 14 with a margin of error of ±3%, with 1,200 male and female respondents aged 18 and above from Class AB, C, D, or E homes who were interviewed for the study.
The respondents were given five options and asked to choose which best described their political preference.
The first option stated that they support Marcos and his administration, the second stated support for the Duterte family and their political allies, the third option was support for the opposition.
The fourth option stated no support for any party, and the last option was for those who do not know who they support or refused to answer.
According to the survey, Mr. Marcos garnered the highest support from the National Capital Region at 43% and received the least support from Mindanao at 17%.
The President received the highest support from Class D at 32% and got the lowest support from Class ABC at 27%.
For the Duterte family and their allies, the highest support came from Mindanao at 53%, while they received the lowest support from Balanced Luzon at 7%.
Prior to being elected to the highest government post, former President Rodrigo Duterte was the mayor of Davao City. Vice President Sara Duterte also served as mayor of the city.
In terms of socioeconomic status, the highest support for the Dutertes came from Class E at 30% and received the lowest from Class ABC at 14%.
The survey results also showed that only 4% of Filipinos support the opposition, which received its highest support from Visayas and Mindanao at 5%. It received the lowest support from Balance Luzon at 3%.
They received the highest support from Class E at 7% and the lowest from Class ABC and D at 4%
Aside from this, 29% of Filipinos do not support any of the three parties.
The remaining 15% do not know what political party to support.
