President Marcos proclaimed April 10 (Wednesday) as a regular holiday across the Philippines in honor of Eid’l Fitr, marking the conclusion of Ramadan.
In Proclamation No. 514, President Marcos underscored the importance of recognizing April 10 as a regular holiday to highlight the religious and cultural significance of Eid’l Fitr.
He emphasized the significance of this declaration, stating that it aims to bring the celebration to the forefront of national consciousness.
President Marcos emphasized that observing Eid’l Fitr allows the public to stand in solidarity with their Muslim brothers and sisters, fostering peace and harmony throughout the country.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin signed the proclamation on April 4, formalizing the declaration of April 10 as a regular holiday for Eid’l Fitr observance nationwide.
April 9 (Tuesday) is also a regular holiday for Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor).
