The Southern Police District arrested two big-time drug dealers late Thursday night in Pasay City, also seizing 1.8 kilos of shabu with a street value of P12.44 million.
With assistance from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Pasay City – Substation 4, SPD operatives arrested the suspects — identified only as Salim, aged 52, and Allan, 51 — in Barangay 111.
The suspects are high-value individuals on the Philippine National Police Drug Watchlist. They will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
The authorities also seized an eco bag, a mobile phone, and the money used in the entrapment operation, made under what the PNP described as the Case Operational Plan (Coplan) following a weeklong surveillance of the suspects.
SPD director Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes commended the policemen who initiated the operation, saying the PNP is committed to continuing their collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to combat the drug menace.
“We will maintain without letup our collaboration with other law enforcement agencies so that our aggressive stance against the anti-illegal drugs campaign will continue to cease drug menace, especially in our area of responsibility,” he said.
