Symbolic support

Activists from the ‘Standing Together’ movement fill a truck with food aid at the parking lot of a shopping center of the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon, before driving in a convoy toward the border with the Gaza Strip on Thursday, in a symbolic show of support for Palestinians. Bearing food aid and wearing Don’t Starve Gaza! t-shirts, dozens of Israeli activists drove towards the border of the besieged territory and got within three kms of the Kerem Shalom border crossing before police turned them back.
